UPDATE on "Visitant"

The MVTV camp has another few weeks of filming before calling it a wrap on VISITANT: The Johnson Family Haunting.

As announced on their official Facebook page, fans will be able to see a preview of the upcoming film on July 4th.

"We have an extended and extensive five day shoot at all of the locations coming up very soon with the entire crew and that should finalize all of the footage we need," said producer Stephen Lancaster.

Lancaster later added that the entire summer would be spent in post-production on the film.

"There is so much to do and we are doing this completely self-financed and completely independently. In June we will release publicity stills. In July we will release the official preview. In August we will release a behind-the-scenes look at the film. Finally, the film will be released in the Fall followed by the accompanying merchandise," added Stephen.

The film will first appear on Amazon Prime for ON DEMAND viewing followed by the official DVD.

"This day and age, I wanted to do it both ways. Most people are enjoying entertainment via the internet. However, people like me still like to own that hard copy. So we will be offering both the streaming and digital DVD experience," said Lancaster.

Distribution is a tedious adventure Stephen said.

"That's why films take a year or two for release. Finding and negotiating with distributors takes months and that is especially the case when you are an independent entity. For instance, right now I'm in talks with Netflix about a spring 2017 instant play release. I won't know how those negotiations are going to end until late winter of next year," added Stephen.

The production on the musical score has been finalized for the film with veteran composer Scott Morgan of Morganstudios fronting the music department.

"Scott and I go way back. He has always been a staple to the monsterVisionTV sound. I wouldn't have it any other way. He gives us our own identity and does so in a very beautiful and haunting way. The score he has written for this film is absolutely amazing," Lancaster said.

The MVTV camp wanted a fresh sound for the new documentary. But what of the original score the audience has come to love?

"No doubt the original MVTV theme song is iconic and known by everybody. From the strike of the first note, the song grabs you. Of course it goes without saying, it will be in there somewhere. If I remember correctly the original score consisted of 6 songs. Those songs were used over the span of 5-6 years. It was time for something new. We've evolved and so should the delivery," added Stephen.

VISITANT: The Johnson Family Haunting is scheduled for DVD release October, 13, 2016.
